Ludwig²

King Ludwig II of Bavaria takes a last walk on the shore of Lake Starnberg and looks back over his life. A boy raised in an unloving household, he finds a refuge in Wagner's music and the knight Lohengrin, and becomes king while still a teenager. He wants to make Bavaria a temple of the arts and of peace, but only his cousin Elisabeth and his aide Dürckheim stand fully with him.
