The Pillowman

The Pillowman is a darkly comic play by Martin McDonagh, set in a totalitarian state where the writer Katurian is detained after a series of child murders appear to echo the violent stories he has written. As two brutal police officers question him, the play draws him into a disturbing reckoning with his own imagination, his family history, and the cost of making art under oppression.
