Ilford Boy

Ted Martin is a mixed-race teenager growing up in Ilford, on the eastern edge of London, in the nineties. Home is a crowded house full of chaos, laughter and tough love. Then Patrick arrives, with his sense of style, his jokes and his love of show tunes, and the ground under Ted's life starts to shift. A different way of living comes into view, full of art and possibility, and full of people who see him clearly for the first time.
