Dead Poets Society

At Welton Academy, a strict boys' boarding school in New England, the pupils are being shaped for the careers their fathers have chosen for them. Then a new English teacher, John Keating, arrives and tells them to tear out the textbook's rules for judging poetry and to seize the day. Inspired, Neil Perry, the painfully shy Todd Anderson and their friends bring back a secret club that once met by night to read verse, and each of them starts to test how far he can follow his own path. For Neil, that means a part in a play his father has forbidden.
