Grammy winner Zachary James will take on Billy Bigelow in Carousel this summer.
The Rodgers and Hammerstein classic plays a limited engagement at REV Theatre Company's Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Auburn, New York, August 12–29, 2026.
Brett Smock directs and Jeff Theiss conducts a full orchestra. For James, an Ithaca College alum, the Finger Lakes engagement is a homecoming.
Billy Bigelow remains one of the great Rodgers and Hammerstein roles — the carnival barker whose Soliloquy is a defining test for any leading man in musical theatre.
